I was just talking with my team about all the books I read in 2015 and thought I would share them with you. I met my goal of reading at least one book a month for a year.
This year, I will double that!!
I’m addicted to learning.
Before you think I am wonder woman and want to know how I have time for everything, I will share my secret. I only “read” a few of these books in an actual book. I mostly “listen” to these books on audible. I spend a lot of time in my car so I listen to books while I drive, while I fold clothes, clean the house, and sometimes when I run. I also listen to podcasts, youtube videos, TED talks, and educational CD’s that I bought. Basically, I traded music for education. Don’t get me wrong, I still love music and listen to that while the kids are around for example, we listen to Christmas music while we eat meals and are spending time together as a family.
I almost forget to tell you that the kids also listen to books while we drive. When the kids are in the car, we listen to their books and when I’m with Andrew, we listen to mine. I’ll add some of their favorite books from this year on the list too. They read almost everyday.
If you need a last minute Christmas gift for your kids or for yourself, books are always a great choice!
Here are some of the books I read in 2015:
How to Win Friends and Influence People
The Life-Changing Magic of Tiding Up
The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth
Rich Dad’s CASHFLOW Quadrant: Rich Dad’s Guide to Financial Freedom
I really enjoyed the Blue Zones book that I read over the summer! I love that Dan Buettner’s mission! “We are on a mission to help people Live Longer, Better. Lessons for Living Longer from the People Who’ve Lived the Longest “You will learn how to immediately incorporate these lessons from faraway places into your very own life.” – Sanjay Gupta, M.D.” From BlueZones.com
I was able to hear Dan speak and he was stellar! He shared real stories and gave us real examples of people that are living to 100. Some of the info will shock you!
I was one of the speakers at the event so I was lucky enough to meet Dan Buettner backstage. He was really nice and I was honored to meet him.
At the close of our conference, I was shocked and honored to have my picture up on stage with Dan Buettner and Jeanne Toovell.
We were also blessed to hear Shawn Achor, the author of The Happiness Advantage. First off, he was hilarious!!! Second, he shared amazing, eye opening information about being happy in all areas of your life.
Here are some of the books my older kids (ages 8 and 10) read in 2015:
The Complete Chronicles of Narnia
