New house. New beginnings. New life. We are making another huge, life changing step in our life. We are moving again. We haven’t even lived in this house for a full year yet but it’s time. Scott has a new opportunity and we are taking it.
We have thought about all the pros and cons but we believe that this will be a good choice for us and for our family. I will post more about our new house soon.
Our kids have been included and involved in this whole process. They went house hunting with us and spent a day a their new school.
We took this photo the day we left our state to go buy our new one. The kids were pretty happy to get pancakes since I don’t make them often.
We did some site seeing, eating, and shopping around our new town!!
Having a Trader Joes near us was part of our criteria…I’m serious!!
One of the things that’s making us so happy is that we have a new plan with our life.
We are going for simple, small, and secure.
We are selling our big, new house and getting a small, old house. We owned an old home before but it wasn’t a huge fixer upper like this one.
We want less stuff, less to maintain, and less to worry about.
We have big goals and this will help us reach them. One, I personally want to spend less time taking care of a house, two, we want to focus on our family, three, we want to get ahead finically.
I spend way too much time picking things up, maintaining, organizing, cleaning, and trying to decorate. (Not to mention the time I spend on pintrest, ha! …Don’t get me wrong, I’m pinning for my new house already!)
We found a cute old neighborhood that is only 5 minutes from the school which will allow way more family time for us! We have always lived in a different town than our school and my drive time was 15-20 minutes each way. I was spending over an hour in a day in the car and during sports, about 2 hours.
We are going to obviously have a better mortgage with a less expensive home but we are also starting a real estate business. After reading, Rich Dad Poor Dad, we are even more motivated to add another additional income and to diversify.
The kids loved the new parks!!
Now we can officially say that we closed and we own another house! (Now we need to sell this one! Prayers please!)
