Hey, everyone! I shared my Morning Self-Care Routine Here. I wanted to share what my nightly self-care routine is as well. My mantra is that you can’t pour from an empty cup. Taking care of myself has become a top priority for me. I want to make sure that I am at my best so I can take care of my family and run my business. Here are some simple things that I am doing at night for self-care that you may like to do too.
I take a relaxing bath 3-4 times per week. I’m very intentional about this. These baths are SO amazing. I do a cup of Epsom salt, a cup of baking soda and 10-20 oils with Lavender or Serenity. Sometimes I even use Aromatouch too. LOVE those three oils. These baths are amazing. I also love to read or listen to audibles while I take my bath.
I’ve been using my five-minute journal for awhile now and I love it! This has really helped me with gratitude and documenting the highs and lows of the days. The gratitude makes me appreciate the highs even more!
I’ve been using a tongue scraper daily for almost a year now and it has been amazing! I had no idea all of the benefits of tongue scraping. I am going to be doing a blog post soon on this!
I also love doing a detoxifying mud mask once a week. It makes my face feel amazing and it is such a treat!
These are just a few of the self-care practices I do to take care of myself in the evening. When I am intentional and mindful of taking care of myself with these simple steps, it is incredibly helpful. My mood is better, my body feels better and I feel peaceful. Sometimes I want to make excuses and say I’m too tired, busy or should go watch Netflix with my husband. But when I do these simple steps, my quality of life is so much better. Plus I love role modeling this for my kids. I have noticed they have been more intentional with their bodies and night time routines too.
