As I’m sitting here holding my newborn, I am reminded of all the beautiful life lessons that pregnancy and being postpartum provide.
Here are a few lessons that I’m reminded of.
Every life is a gift from God
There is joy in waiting
We are human beings, not human doings
God always has a beautiful plan for us
Be present in each moment
The woman’s body is beautiful and sacrificial
Everything we eat, drink, or smell affects our health
Breastfeeding your baby makes a wonderful holy hour
You need to re-prioritize your goals every season of life
Have lots of patience, especially with yourself
You are needed and important
With babies and young children, the days are long and the years are short
Always remain grateful
Give all the glory to God
You are enough
It’s okay to ask for help
You need to take care of yourself so you can care for everyone else
What lessons or reminders would you add to the list? I’d love to hear.
